OneClickNutrition is an iPhone app that tracks food intake and nutrients using AI-powered food image recognition. Users can log meals by taking a photo or choosing one from their library, or by entering food manually.

Core Features

Food Recognition from Images

Point your camera at a meal or select a photo from your library. The app sends the image to our secure backend, which uses AI to identify foods and extract ingredients. You get recognized items with portion sizes, weights, and nutrition previews (calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber). You can also drill down into detailed micronutrient data for selected foods.

Meal Logging by Type

Meals are organized by type (e.g., Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks). You can add multiple entries per day and navigate by date to review or edit past days. All logged meals are stored locally on your device.

Daily Summary

Each day shows a summary of total calories and macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat). If you enable micronutrients in settings, you can choose up to five to display in the daily summary and in the ingredients list.

Manual Food Entry

When a photo isn’t convenient, you can add food manually. The app still uses the same nutrition database so your logs stay consistent.

Nutrient Analysis

An in-app analysis view shows your “5 most deficient nutrients” based on logged meals—i.e., nutrients with the lowest percentage of Daily Value. You can switch between daily, weekly, and total (all-time) periods to see where your intake may be lacking and adjust your diet accordingly.

Settings & Customization

Users can turn micronutrient display on or off and choose whether to show selected micronutrients in the daily summary and in the per-ingredient list. The app is designed to work offline for viewing stored data; image recognition and detailed nutrition lookup use our secure API when needed.

Technology

The app is built with Swift and SwiftUI, following modern iOS design patterns. Meal and nutrition data are stored in a local SQLite database on the device. Food recognition and detailed nutrition (including micronutrients) are provided via our backend API, which uses device authentication (e.g., JWT) to keep access secure. We do not sell or share your meal or nutrition data; see our Privacy page for details.
